More about Dominic
For Dominic Genetti, joining the Low Carbon Solutions team became a personal mission. A father of four, Dominic hopes to advance a future for his children where the world’s energy needs can be met while reducing or eliminating carbon emissions. And he’s doing this by focusing on Low Carbon Solutions’ customers in hard-to-abate sectors.
Dominic’s career with ExxonMobil spans more than two decades, during which he has applied his deep expertise in both technical operations and global strategic advisory. He started his career with ExxonMobil in 1999 working as a reservoir engineer in Houston. He worked in oil and gas fields in West Texas, Oklahoma, and South Texas. His roles have since taken him across the globe, from Venezuela to Norway to Australia.
Most recently, Dominic was based in Qatar with his family for seven years, where he held several leadership roles, including president and general manager of ExxonMobil Qatar, president of Al Khaleej Gas, and vice president & ventures manager, ExxonMobil Qatar.
While in Qatar, Dominic, and his wife, Mckenize, were board members and trustees of the American School of Doha, where he says some of his proudest moments were seeing students he knew overcome challenges, graduate, and then move on to successful lives.
Dominic grew up in Montana and Mississippi. He holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in chemical engineering from Brigham Young University.
