Mary Doris is motivated by the role affordable energy can play in economic development and by the challenge of building lower-emissions energy solutions. As Vice President of Strategy for Low Carbon Solutions, she helps guide the company’s long-term strategy for scalable, commercially disciplined low-carbon businesses. Mary Doris joined ExxonMobil in 2014 and brings more than a decade of experience. A graduate of Amherst College and Tulane University, where she earned both an MBA and Juris Doctorate, Mary Doris has held roles in finance, strategy, and tax. Her career includes supporting major developments in emerging markets such as Guyana, which has shaped her approach to evaluating complex investments and long-term growth opportunities. She was named Vice President of Strategy for Low Carbon Solutions in 2025.

Growing up in southwest Louisiana, Mary Doris developed an early connection to the outdoors that continues to shape her perspective today. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, gardening and exploring new destinations with her husband and three daughters. Her love of travel and time outdoors reflects the same curiosity and energy she brings to her work.
