More about Sasha
Sasha Mackler joined ExxonMobil in 2024, continuing his mission to help supply the world with abundant, affordable, reliable, and lower-emission energy. In his current role, Sasha is focused on driving the policies and business models that enable low-carbon solutions to scale.
With more than two decades of experience, he played leading roles in shaping national energy and environmental policy during his time working at the Bipartisan Policy Center, the National Commission on Energy Policy, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He was also appointed Vice Chair of the White House Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage Task Force and has worked commercially as a project developer and advisor to energy companies, investors, and cleantech startups.
Sasha holds a B.S. in Geomechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester and both an M.S. in Earth Resources Engineering and an M.P.A. from Columbia University.
With a Swedish mother and a Mexican wife, he’s spent a lifetime traveling the globe to connect with family and friends. Sasha’s favorite destination is Mexico City.
