Williams selects ExxonMobil for CO₂ transportation and storage

Williams will transport natural gas from the Haynesville via its Louisiana Energy Gateway (LEG) pipeline, then process the natural gas and deliver it to the U.S. Gulf Coast for liquefied natural gas (LNG) export. 

1. This is our seventh commercial contract, for a total of ~9 MTA carbon captured and stored.
2. This is our fifth CCS contract in Louisiana.
3. Our CCS portfolio supports lower-carbon-intensity steel, ammonia, natural gas processing, industrial gases, methanol, and LNG.

Each new CCS project can have far-reaching impact beyond the U.S. Gulf Coast. For example, the LNG exported from the U.S. Gulf Coast goes to destinations all around the globe for use in power generation, residential and commercial heating, and industrial processes.
