More about Prasanna
Prasanna Joshi joined ExxonMobil in 1998 after completing his Ph.D. in chemical engineering at the University of Delaware. He held several technical leadership roles in Process and Modeling research before being named modeling and scale-up technology director for the ExxonMobil Research and Engineering Company. Prior to his current role as vice president of the Low Carbon Solutions Technology Portfolio, he was the corporate strategic research manager in research and development. Prasanna also serves as sponsor for the United Way of Hunterdon County. He takes great pride in ExxonMobil’s status as the organization’s largest corporate donor, as well as the positive impact ExxonMobil volunteers have had on the community in Clinton, NJ.
Prasanna’s interest in all things technology runs deep, as evidenced by his favorite book, “Speed and Scale,” by John Doerr. He finds that the book “articulates a framework of how technology ambition, delivery targets and a culture of innovation are crucial to developing game-changing breakthroughs with speed and at scale.” Prasanna also has a lifelong love of music that was passed down from his parents. He learned to play the tabla, which is a two-piece Indian drum, as a child, and he’s a self-proclaimed enthusiast of Hindustani classical music.
